1950s School Achieves Sustainable, Comfortable Learning Environment with Mitsubishi Electric
Hollis Primary School (HPS) had served its Hollis, New Hampshire community for generations when students, staff and the school district pushed for a major renovation. Housed within a brick masonry building constructed in 1952, HPS needed a retrofit to improve indoor comfort and the educational environment in a sustainable, energy-efficient way. Mitsubishi Electric’s Zoned Comfort Solutions® with Hyper-Heating INVERTER® (H2i®) technology proved essential in delivering comfortable classrooms and utility savings. Coupled with spray-foam insulation and a solar array, the system helped the school drastically reduce their carbon footprint and overall energy consumption.
